Brevard Zoo will kick off its annual Summer Saturday Nights starting June 2 and running every Saturday night through July 28. To beat the summertime heat, Brevard Zoo will extend hours of operation to 9 p.m. all nine Saturdays in June and July. Admission is just $5 per person and last admission is 8 p.m. Each night the zoo provides musical entertainment from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and a special animal encounter at 7 p.m. For more information visit www.brevardzoo.org.

SCFN Silent Auction and Dinner

Join us for an evening of good food and entertainment. There will be lots of great items in the silent auction, plus door prizes, and Feral Cat Bingo! Space Coast Feline Network (SCFN) will be holding its Annual Silent Auction and Dinner on Saturday, June 9th, at the Radisson Resort Convention Center at the Port in Cape Canaveral, 8701 Astronaut Blvd. Cape Canaveral, Florida 32920, with proceeds going to SCFNâ€™s programs, including its low-cost spay/neuter program for feral and abandoned cats. Silent auction, cash bar and entertainment begin at 6:00, dinner at 7:00, followed by recognition of Feral Cat Supporter of the Year, and Certificates of Appreciation for volunteers. Dinner choices include a beef, chicken, fish or vegan entree. Cost is $50 per ticket. Tables for ten are available, so invite all your friends. The last date to make reservations is Wednesday June 6th. They also provide education to caregivers at quarterly workshops held at the Central Brevard Library in Cocoa.
