Improvements were funded by Health First's Viera Hospital, which is scheduled to open next year.  Viera Hospital President Chris Kennedy will throw out the opening pitch.  "We're excited about being able to provide these Little Leaguers with a brand-new field on which to play," said Kennedy. "We may not be opening our hospital doors until next year, but being good community neighbors here in Viera doesnt have to wait until then."

Upon completion, Viera Hospital will be a 100-bed, acute-care, not-for-profit hospital that offers residents in the Viera/Suntree vicinity a comprehensive range of healthcare services.

Sessions are held Wednesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. for ages 7 and 8; from 5 to 6 p.m. for ages 9 to 11; from 6 to 7 p.m. for ages 12 and up; and from 7 to 8 p.m. for adults.
